Während die meisten zukünftigen FWDler in Niedersachsen und Bremen im Moment im Abistress stecken, hofft Kenneth in Sambia auf gute Nachrichten aus Deutschland. Denn sein großer Traum ist es, ein FWD im Volleyball zu machen. Da Kenneth über das weltwärts-Programm des ASC gefördert wird, reduzieren sich die monatlichen Einsatzstellenkosten von 430€ auf 300€, außerdem könnte ein einsetzender Verein gegebenenfalls zusätzlich vom NWVV-Programm mobiles FSJ profitieren. Kenneth ist auf eine Unterkunftsmöglichkeit wie zum Beispiel eine Gastfamilie angewiesen.

Hier stellt er sich kurz vor:

Hi, my name is Kenneth Wachata, I am 23 and I live in Livingstone, the tourist capital of Zambia. I was born in Mambova which is a small village two hours away from Livingstone. I spent most of my life in Livingstone because of school and family then later I moved to Lusaka the capital of Zambia.
I am interested in politics, environmental issues, dancing, music and sports.
I have always been passionate about sport since my fourth grade and because of that I played volleyball for my school at a very young age and became one of the best players in the district. My interest in volleyball started when my favourite primary school teacher told me I would be a good volleyball player because of my height and he asked me if I would like to train with them.

In my primary school I was the youngest to be in the school team and in my 8th grade I was transferred to a boarding school because of me playing volleyball and later in that grade we had qualified to participate in nationals in Botswana where I got lucky and was asked to play for the junior national team. I played for two years then unfortunately I broke my knee and could not play anymore so I moved back to Livingstone to finish up my high school.

It has always been my dream to be in front of people and share what I know and use my experience and knowledge of sports to help out in anyway as required. That is why I would like to be a physical education teacher of kids of the age 7 to 18 and cooperate with other teachers to share our experiences and learn together.
